Preston Herold

Preston Herold joined Holt Lunsford Commercial in 2026 and serves as Managing Principal of Holt Lunsford Commercial Investments (HLCI), where he leads the Bulk Warehouse Development program. He is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and executing large-scale industrial development opportunities for HLCI.

Preston has almost 27 years of experience in industrial real estate development, acquisitions, asset management, and leasing. Most recently, he was President of Hunt Southwest, the Lamar Hunt Family’s real estate development company, where he developed 7 million square feet in DFW, Houston, and El Paso over his 11-year tenure there. Prior to that, Preston held management positions at Industrial Income Trust and Hillwood. Preston began his career as an analyst in the industrial real estate development group at Trammell Crow Company.

Preston received a BA in Economics and Political Science from Northwestern University and a JD degree from the SMU School of Law. He is a licensed attorney at law and real estate broker.
